Two Ways to Get Help
Almost anything can be poisonous if it is used in the wrong way, in the wrong amount, or by the wrong person. While you can always get immediate help from a poison expert by calling 1-800-222-1222, did you know you can also get help online with webPOISONCONTROL?
Try it at webpoisoncontrol.org or download the webPOISONCONTROL app on the App Store or Google Play
The webPOISONCONTROL online triage tool and app are free and available 24/7. They guide you through a series of questions that can help you decide what to do when substances are swallowed, splashed in the eye or on the skin, inhaled, or injected. Based on the information you provide about a poison exposure, you will be given a case-specific recommendation that lets you know if it’s safe to stay home or if further guidance from the Poison Center is needed by calling 1-800-222-1222.
